Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to our Warrnambool College!

We are proud of our school. More than a century old, Warrnambool College is highly regarded as both a school of academic excellence and a place where all students are included to grow into the best versions of themselves. We provide a challenging and rich curriculum designed to engage all students in learning and we share regular feedback online with parents to support student learning. We care for our students and they in turn develop skills to care for each other and the world around us. We hope that our website gives you a good introduction to our school and helps you understand what we value in education.

We offer a wide variety of learning pathways to our students.  Grade 6 students can apply to be part of our Accredited Select Entry Accelerated Learning (SEAL) program or Sporting Pathway Program, both designed to support student strengths in academia and athleticism.  Senior secondary pathways allow students to choose from a large selection of VCE subjects or the VCE Vocational Major certificate.  All students are genuinely welcomed with inclusion and a celebration of what they uniquely bring to the story of our school.  The Rainbow Club supports students in the LGBTIQ+ community, our Stars and Clontarf Academies provide in school and beyond school supports for our indigenous students and our Multi-Cultural Leadership Group actively engages with the increasing number of students from non-Anglo backgrounds. Our music program includes multiple orchestras and rock bands to ensure students have plenty of opportunities to perform in front of enthusiastic audiences. Instrumental lessons are available at school. Our diverse academy program includes various specific sports and extra-curricular options, enabling students to develop their skills beyond the classroom and meet new friends with similar interests.

We produce an annual school theatre production with students from Years 7 – 12 involved. We conduct regular camps for students across a range of year levels and we offer international trips to our sister schools in Indonesia. We have an on-site swimming pool, a high performance gymnasium and state-of-the- art visual arts and technology facilities. Our teachers are highly qualified and represent a mix of younger and more experienced teachers to bring in new ideas and consolidate old ones.  We are incredibly proud of who we are as a school and our innate drive to be more tomorrow than we are today.  Warrnambool College is a vibrant learning community and we hope that you may join us to add your personal contribution to our future.
